When his contract with Manchester United expires this summer, Raphael Varane will depart

Raphaël Varane, a French center back who joined Manchester United in 2021 on a free transfer from Real Madrid, confirmed his departure.

With the Red Devils winning the FA Cup in the 2022–2023 season and United defeating Newcastle in the final, the 2018 World champion had a great time at Old Trafford.

His injury problems, though, prevented him from having a lengthier career at Man United, and they will now go their own ways.

After three seasons at Old Trafford, Raphael Varane has confirmed he will depart Manchester United in the summer when his contract expires, according to a Man UTD statement.

“The highly decorated defender joined the team from Real Madrid in August 2021, and before our opening-weekend victory over Leeds United, he was famously unveiled in front of our home supporters at the Theatre of Dreams.”

Throughout his 93 games to date, Varane has provided the squad with a great deal of class and experience. When the Frenchman lifted the 2023 Carabao Cup at Wembley Stadium, he also contributed to our winning our first major trophy in six years. Erik ten Hag’s team defeated Newcastle United 2-0, and Rapha displayed all of his skills playing with Lisandro Martinez.

“Everyone at the club extends their gratitude to Rapha for his services and best wishes for his future.”
