Barron Trump Started His Political Career at the Age of 18 as a GOP Convention Delegate from Florida

The youngest child of former President Donald Trump, Barron Trump, has been chosen to attend the Republican National Convention in Florida as an at-large delegate.

The 18-year-old’s involvement in politics is a change from his personal life. It happens in the midst of rumors that Melania Trump, Barron’s mother, is giving her son greater freedom as he becomes an adult.

Barron, the youngest child of the late President Trump, was selected by the Republican Party of Florida to attend the Republican National Convention as an at-large delegate from the state, according to NBC News.

“We have a great delegation of grassroots leaders, elected officials, and even members of the Trump family,” Florida GOP chairman Evan Power stated in the statement that was made public. Florida’s convention squad is still excellent, but more importantly, we’re getting ready to win Florida and win big.”

Barron’s most significant political position to date is that of a delegate. Unlike his older siblings, Eric and Donald Trump Jr., who will also be serving as Florida at-large RNC delegates alongside Trump’s daughter Tiffany, he has largely avoided the political arena and led a noticeably more private life.

When his father’s criminal trial in New York began last month, the 18-year-old’s name came up in relation to payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels prior to the 2016 election.

Judge Juan Merchan granted the former president’s legal team’s motion at the time, which called for Trump to be present at Barron’s May 17 high school graduation.

There is a significant Trump family presence in Florida’s RNC delegation. Power, the chairman of the Republican Party of Florida, and Eric, the chairman of the delegation, recently took part in a conference call with party leaders.

In addition to Barron, Eric, Donald Jr., and Tiffany Trump, the children of the former president, additional delegates chosen by the Florida GOP are closely associated with the former president and his family. Among them are Kimberly Guilfoyle, Donald Jr.’s fiancée, and Michael Boulous, Tiffany Trump’s spouse.

Notably missing from the list were Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, who served as White House aides but left politics after Trump’s loss in 2020. According to reports, the couple is currently concentrating on raising their kids and living a private life.

According to family-friendly insiders, Melania is starting to take a more detached role with her son Barron.

It is said that as he enters maturity, she is giving him more freedom while keeping a close eye on his father’s legal issues and presidential campaign.

“While he was still a minor she zealously protected him and we knew very little about the details of his daily life,” a source told the everyday Mail.

“I believe that he is now permitted to make more choices for himself. He is free to invite anybody he wants to supper. He’s gradually going public,” the tipper continued.

Early in 2017, Barron attracted unwanted attention on social media, which prompted Chelsea Clinton, the first daughter of the late President, to demand his privacy and ask trolls to spare him the burden of growing up under public observation.

Recently, after Barron turned 18 and was called “fair game” by a former NBC executive who shared a birthday picture of Trump with his youngest son on X (previously Twitter), Clinton defended Barron.

“Today is Barron Trump’s 18th birthday,” Mike Sington wrote in the since-deleted tweet. He’s suddenly up for grabs.”

Clinton asserted Barron’s right to privacy during her appearance on “The View,” stating, “I think he’s a private citizen.” I firmly believe that everyone has an unalienable right to privacy if they are a private citizen, and I believe the media should respect this.”

At 6 feet 7 inches tall, Barron is expected to be a devoted follower of his father’s 2024 campaign and is officially set to carry on his legacy. But in doing so, he supposedly wants to develop his voice and platform.

The insider claims that Barron has greater autonomy over his decisions as he gets older. Examples of this include organizing meals and interacting with well-known people like Iranian American businessman Patrick Bet-David, who is praised for his charm, wit, and politeness.

Barron’s amusing comments were praised by Bet-David: “We watched Barron run dinner with stories and entertainment for an hour and a half. God, oh God. All of it.”

The businessman continued, calling Barron a “freaking stud” and characterizing him as “sharp, funny, sarcastic, tough – not weak.”
