Amidst legal issues, Tyrese Gibson says he is “still living in fear of my ex”

Tyrese Gibson is still disparaging his ex-wife, Norma Mitchell, citing the psychological damage caused by their bitter legal disputes.

The singer-turned-actor has been sharing his heart on Instagram, disclosing that their daughter’s tuition costs total more than $25,000. He is now becoming more open about Norma’s detrimental influence on his life and his mental health.

In his newest social media update, Tyrese released a mournful video of himself. He appeared sad, as though ready to break down in tears while vibing to emotive music in the background.

The “Fast & Furious” actor wore a black hoodie to match the melancholy tone, shaking his head and pressing his hand to his chest several times. In conclusion, he provided an impressive demonstration of emotional discomfort, which appeared to be the issue based on his Instagram caption.

Tyrese bemoaned in the overlay text of the video, “I’m in a dark place, and I hope and pray [prayer hands emoji] I don’t stay in this place for long,” before going into further detail about his mental health and the reasons behind his melancholy appearance.

In his long statement, the actor reiterated that he was at his lowest point, saying, “I’m in a very awful place. I’m officially done, exhausted, and have no one to turn to. Though I think God exists, I’m dejected and feel like I’ve reached my limit. He went on:

“I’m not feeling well. On all fronts, I’m always here for everyone. I’ve reached a dead end, and I have no idea what to do. Jesus, more than ever, I need you. Mother’s Day is quickly approaching, and although I am experiencing the same sadness in my heart, everything seemed to have stopped.

Tyrese emphasized that his emotional issues were deeply relatable to his audience and pleaded with them to consider his post carefully before disclosing the reasons for his anguish. Naturally, Norma was the most popular choice, and the actor lost it:

“To mention a few…I’m still terrified of my ex [Norma] and the new disgusting things she’ll say or accuse me of in reaction to my 167 pages of court documents [link in bio].”

Tyrese pointed out that his second ex-wife was the source of more legal issues, thus Norma wasn’t his only legal issue. He clarified that even though he and Samantha Lee had a prenuptial agreement, their divorce had not yet been formalized.

The singer-turned-actor stated that the four-year legal proceedings had cost him more than a million dollars. He went on, “It’s now being appealed, and the process is taking forever,”

“The judge on the case, Judge Kevin M Farmer, still has some of my court documents [ sealed ] and refuses to UNSEAL them…”

The second item on Tyrese’s list was his most recent album, “BEAUTIFUL PAIN,” which he claimed to have been financially and emotionally taxing for him as an independent musician.

The WGA and SAG strikes also cost him the chance to film five films; he notes that the schedules have been rescheduled for 2025.

The TV star was facing numerous legal issues, one of which being his 2023 battle with Home Depot. He penned:

“The case against Home Depot is still pending. They are so incredibly incompetent, and their dearth of responsibility is astounding. However, I will not give in to racism.”

Tyrese finally vented and said, “I’ve hit a wall and emptied myself,” to wrap up his statement. Every day, I just need to remind myself to stop, pray, and trust that everything is part of God’s plan. Really, if you know me at all, When you can, check in on me.”

He concluded the confessional by saying, “Most would never post this because perception vs reality and deception is the life of most celebs.” Days after he revealed to his supporters the details of his legal dispute with Norma, he had a heart-to-heart session with them.

The Blast revealed last month that Tyrese had revealed his legal issues with Norma in an intense Instagram post. He posted a tirade about his ex-wife’s alleged misdeeds along with a screenshot of a court document bearing her name.

“I’m addressing at last because I need to. Tyrese began his post, saying, “I’ve seen your remarks, so here’s my reaction. The days of me suffering in quiet and living in fear are done. 167 papers were filed at 111 Hill Street, the Los Angeles courthouse.

The actor emphasized that there were “no lies and no goofy s-it” in his paperwork. Real receipts are attached to every document in these court documents.” In addition, he charged Norma with numerous crimes of forgery, “blackmail, extortion, defamation, death threats, and tax evasion.”
