Lovebirds Ashanti and Nelly are receiving a visit from the stork after an exciting reunion.

Ashanti, an R&B singer, revealed in an Essence magazine interview on Wednesday that she is expecting her first child with the “Hot In Herre” rapper. Nelly’s representative also verified the information to USA TODAY.

Ashanti told the magazine, “This new year of my life is such a blessing full of love, hope, and anticipation.” “Motherhood is something that I have looked forward to, and sharing this with my family, fiancé, and loyal fans, who have been so supportive of my career, is an amazing experience.”

According to video that TMZ was able to secure, the now-engaged pair hinted at Ashanti’s pregnancy during their appearance at the Black & White Ball in December 2023. In the footage, Ashanti can be seen standing on stage and rubbing her stomach. A few seconds later, Nelly touches her. Following the move, the vocalists burst out laughing.
