Dr. Mwinyi bids for Tanzania SADCOPAC

The PRESIDENT of Zanzibar, Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi has said that both governments (of the United Republic of Tanzania and that of Mapinduzi Zanzibar) are making great efforts to deal with acts of corruption and encourage accountability if it is the implementation of the CCM election manifesto for the year 2020-2025 along with other development plans.

In addition, Dr. Mwinyi has explained that Zanzibar is in charge of the conditions and guidelines of the SADCOPAC committee as it is at the forefront of ensuring that it fully implements the agreement reached between the member countries.

Also, Dr. Mwinyi has said that Zanzibar has initiated a procedure to read publicly the report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of Government Accounts and to discuss it openly and thoroughly in the House of Representatives.

The Chairman of the Revolutionary Council has called on the member countries of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) to strengthen the institutions involved in good governance by providing them with more experts in various fields so that they have a greater scope to conduct investigations in accordance with their duties theirs.
