Julio ousts Singida FG after just two matches – Tanzania

After leading Singida Fountain Gate FC in two games, Coach Jamhuri Kihwelu ‘Julio’ has left the team whose home is currently in Mwanza.

Yesterday, Julio told SportsXtra that he is currently in Dar es Salaam for the Eid El Fitr break, but there are things that are not right between him and Singida Fountain Gate, but once things are settled, he will return to continue his duties.

“I had been hired since the Simba vs Singida Fountain Gate FC match, but since there was already another coach who had prepared the team, I decided not to interfere in his plans. The team played against Simba, although they lost, but they played well, especially in the second half.”

“My first match when I was in Singida Fountain Gate was against Namungo, we managed to win, the second match was FA against Tabora United and we lost.”

“That match for me was not very important for us because we looked at the environment of our team and our priority at the moment is to keep the team in the Premier League as they themselves want.”

Singida Fountain Gate FC faces a tough game against Yanga on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at the CCM Kirumba stadium, Mwanza.
