Red Devils’ SA coach is expected to depart – African Football

Benni McCarthy, the coach of Manchester United’s attack team, has reportedly been linked to leaving the Red Devils at the end of the current campaign.

In July 2022, the former Porto player became a member of Erik Ten Hag’s coaching team, a decision that shocked the Man United supporters.

McCarthy was mostly responsible for improving United’s offensive line during the 2022–2023 season, when Marcus Rashford scored 30 goals and provided 10 assists in 56 games.

However, with his contract scheduled to expire in the summer, McCarthy now faces a “uncertain” future at the team, according to ESPN.

Further doubts regarding McCarthy’s near future were raised by the same report’s revelation that United “declined” to respond when questioned about the South African icon.
