Draymond Green, who was struck in the face, questions hypocrisy

Tuesday’s Golden State Warriors victory over the Los Angeles Lakers included Draymond Green getting into a fight with the referees. When Austin Reaves, a guard for the Lakers, stepped up for a layup in the third quarter, he feels that Reaves smacked him in the face.

When talking about the event with the media following the game, Green ran the chance of facing a fine from the league. He stated that he feels he is treated worse than other NBA players in these circumstances and that there is a double standard at play.

“I hit somebody in the face, I get thrown under the jail. When I get hit, we don’t see it,” Green said.”… When I blow my breath on someone, they’re reviewing it for a flagrant foul.”

This season, Green has been given two bans and ten technical fouls. He’s known for being unduly physical and playing jump rope outside of the rules of fair play. Because of this, referees will probably go harder on him in an effort to limit his distractions and maintain control of the game.
