Live updates for Real Madrid versus Manchester City: Quarterfinal of the Champions League is tied following a thrilling 3-3 match

The first leg of Real Madrid and Manchester City’s Champions League quarterfinal finished in a 3-3 tie at the Santiago Bernabeu after an exciting battle.

After Jack Grealish was fouled far up the field, Bernardo Silva gave the visitors the ideal start. After City was given a free kick, Bernardo shot past the defender and inside the near post with just one man in the wall.

Real answered right away. They used their wide forwards’ quickness to work the ball high up the pitch while maintaining possession. The next two goals were somewhat determined by chance. Eduardo Camavinga deflected a shot off Ruben Dias and scored from the right side of the box.

Rodrygo added another just under two minutes later. He snuck into space on a smooth counterattack, and he drove into the box to score with a side-footed shot that deflected off Manuel Akanji.

Up until halfway through the second half, Madrid held the lead. After the interval, City had a fresh start and shown greater determination and energy. For the time being, the key man was Phil Foden, who was assigned the primary creative function. He leveled the score for City with a curling shot from the box’s edge into the upper right corner.

Then, from the other side of the pitch, Josko Gvardiol scored a similar strike to put them ahead. There was one further twist to the story just as City appeared to be seizing control of the tie. Federico Valverde’s goal and a lovely volley combined to create Real Madrid’s most recent equalizer.

The match finished in a stalemate; the exciting quarterfinal match will now conclude at Etihad Stadium.
