Netizens respond after musician TID breaks the internet with clever interviews

Khalid Mohamed, a well-known musician from Tanzania who goes by the stage name TID, is no stranger to the spotlight, but his recent interviews have made him extremely well-known, particularly among Kenyan internet users.

“Why and who is this guy? Why are you passing around during my interview? TID’s charm captured the moment perfectly as he exclaimed, “I hate you.”

However, it’s not just his impromptu responses that have garnered interest on the internet. In a different interview, TID’s animated speech about his busy schedule drew comparisons to the vocalist Francis Atwoli of the Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU).

TID joked, drawing laughter from the audience with his hilarious delivery, “I am truly occupied this week, I am going to Oman after that I am going to Dodoma after Dodoma I am going to the USA for these auditions, man, I am quite busy.”

Netizens have embraced the catchy soundbites from TID’s interviews, especially on TikTok, where users have been using his quotes as inspiration to create hilarious videos.

Online audiences can find a wealth of humorous content from TID’s interviews, ranging from clever memes to lighthearted reenactments.

The impact of TID goes beyond just his songs. 1994 saw him begin his career with Black Gangsters before going out on his own.

With hits like “Kiuno,” “Nyota Yako,” and “We Dada,” he became well-known in Tanzanian music circles amazingly fast.
