Ice Cube Fires The Los Angeles Clippers Hard for Relocating To Inglewood: “Hit That 405”

Amid criticism of the Los Angeles Clippers’ decision to move to Inglewood, rapper and actor Ice Cube did not mince words while appearing on the “All the Smoke” podcast. When asked how he felt about the Clippers moving to their new stadium, the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Ice Cube gave a sad response that clearly reflected his feelings.

“Who? Who? They should just, as they go down to Inglewood, keep going. Hit that 405. Get back to San Diego. Take the Chargers with you. Take the Chargers with you. Y’all messing up Inglewood up man. Inglewood used to be a nice place.”

Ice Cube began to verbally challenge him with voices filled with mockery and asked “Who?” asked. WHO?’ That opening chase set the stage for the brutal dismantling of the Clippers’ relocation plans.

Ice Cube did not return, stating that the Clippers should continue to follow the freeway until they reached California’s main highway 405. His desire to “go back to San Diego” was a good thing for the team, which was based in San Diego before moving to Los Angeles in 1984.
