Croatia defeat Egypt 4-2 to win friendly tournament final in Cairo!

The Croatia national team faced Egypt in the final of the ACUD Cup friendly competition on Tuesday in Cairo. Croatia proceeded to the final after defeating Tunisia on penalties (0-0, 5-4), whilst Egypt knocked off New Zealand 1-0.

The ACUD Cup is an introductory tournament before the European Championships in Germany, where Croatia will play in Group B with Spain, Italy, and Albania. The Euros begins on June 14 and Croatia will launch the competition on June 15 versus Spain.

Croatia will play two more preliminary games before heading to Germany. They will take on North Macedonia in Rijeka on June 3 and their last test is in Lisbon versus Portugal on June 8, after which they will head to their Euros base site in Neuruppin.
