Kenya To Release First Worship Massacre Bodies To Families

The death toll in an investigation connected to a Kenyan worship that experienced hunger to “meet Jesus Christ” has exceeded 300 after 19 new dead bodies were found Tuesday, a senior official revealed. Police believe most of the remains discovered in a wood near the Indian Ocean town of Malindi belong to followers of Paul Nthenge Mackenzie, a taxi driver-turned-preacher who has been in police supervision since April 14.

He is due to face accusations of “terrorism” in the case which has shaken the East African nation.

“The death toll has now increased to 303 after the 19 remains were exhumed,” regional commissioner Rhoda Onyancha stated.

The toll bodies conditional, and the experts in the East African country fear the actual number of dead could be far higher. The hunt for mass graves is yet ongoing in the Shakahola wooded area, where the first fatalities and some dead, others alive but weakened and emaciated were found on April 13.

Ever since, the sequence of hideous discoveries has uncovered a horrific disgrace, labelled the “Shakahola forest massacre”. More than 600 people have been reported missing by worried blood relatives.
