The Belgian football federation has once again persuaded Fulham FC midfielder Andreas Pereira (28) to serve their national team, but the star has continued his position of wanting to serve the Brazilian national team to fulfill his dream.

‘Choosing another national team just to play international football is meaningless to me.’

Andreas was born in Duffel, Belgium and has served the national teams of U15, U16 , U17 but he has also served the youth teams of Brazil U20 and U23 while the senior national team was called up once for two friendly matches against the USA and El Salvador in 2018.

His father Andreas (Old Marcos) is a former footballer who was born in Brazil, moved to Belgium in order to develop himself in football, and obtained the citizenship of that country with his wife Anaida.
