Busoga Queen Jovia Mutesi launches key projects in first public appearance

This Friday afternoon, the Queen of Busoga Kingdom, Her Royal Highness Jovia Mutesi made her first post-wedding public appearance to address her subjects and launch a series of her priority projects for the kingdom.

Just over three months after her lavish wedding with Kyabazinga William Nadiope Gabula, the queen made a public appearance at the Igenge place to announce her plans for her people.

The Inhebantu also took part in other culturally symbolic activities including tending to a banana plantation and preparing a local dish.

By publication of this story, Mutesi was set to give her first public address to the subjects, which was expected to focus on poverty eradication, fighting the high school dropout, and early pregnancies in the kingdom.
