TAMISEMI – HON. DR. PHILIP MIPANGO

The vice president of the United Republic of Tanzania Hon. Dr. Philip Mpango has directed the Ministry of Health, the Office of the President – TAMISEMI and other authorities involved to ensure that there is an effective management of the Joint Plan of Health Workers at the Community Level so that it can achieve the intended objectives.

The vice president has said this during the launch of the Joint Plan of Health Workers at the Social Level that took place at the Julius Nyerere International Conference Center in Dar es Salaam. He said it is necessary to put in place a good system to coordinate the activities of the scheme and ensure implementation information is available including using digital models.

The Vice President has urged the health workers who will be given the responsibility to perform their duties to focus on the job and commit themselves and to urge the community to receive the initiative and to appreciate the services of health workers at community level by giving them enough cooperation to protect and improve health in the community.

In particular, the Vice President has emphasized that the issues of good nutrition and environmental hygiene should not be left behind in implementing the Plan as one of the ways of building health and controlling diseases that are caused by environmental pollution including menopause and malaria. He has called on the International Community, Development Stakeholders and other Stakeholders, to support the Government’s efforts as well as the priorities of the Scheme throughout its implementation.
