HON. DR. DOTO BITEKO

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Hon. Dr. Doto Biteko, yesterday representing the President, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan at the ceremony of the inauguration of the new bishop of Bukoba Catholic Church, Hon. Jovitus Mwijage.

The celebrations took place at Kaitaba stadium in Bukoba district, Kagera province, and various leaders were attended by the Kagera province head, Fatma Mwasa and Bukoba city MP who is also the Deputy Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Hon. Stephen Byabato.

While giving greetings of Dr. Samia to the believers and citizens who attended the celebrations, Dr. Biteko has explained that the President will continue to cooperate with the Catholic Church and other religions so that they can bring development in the country.

He said, the President recognizes that there are still various challenges in the country that the Government is doing every effort to implement but this will be done effectively if there is no division in the country as it is now.
