UGANDA UPDATE – NAMUGONGO

Today, my family and I joined other believers at Uganda Martyrs Shrine in Namugongo to celebrate and honour the brave Ugandans who sacrificed their lives for what they believed and knew to be a just cause.

We pay tribute to the Martyrs, publicly known and unknown, whose faith and commitment continue to inspire us. They faced immense adversity and paid the ultimate price but their faith never wavered. Their sacrifices are a towering example of the power of conviction — that unflinching belief in the righteousness of a cause even in the face of persecution.

So, as we remember the Martyrs’ sacrifice, let us equally be convicted in our own fight for freedom. It is conviction that fuels our determination, gives us strength in moments of pain, and pushes us to persevere even amidst seemingly insurmountable odds.

To truly honor the legacy of the Martyrs, we must recommit ourselves to the pursuit of a just society, where every Ugandan can live in dignity, free from fear, and with equal opportunities. Let us draw strength from their example as we continue the fight for a better Uganda. May God bless us all.
